USAREUR Intelligence Estimate - 1965

Description: These excerpts of a 1965 intelligence estimate show that USAREUR continues to hold the view that Moscow will not initiate hostilities and that the period of warning gained through detection of forward movement of ground forces would vary between 0 and 12 hours. USAREUR's estimate is supported by 26 annexes (not includede) providing information on the geographical, political, economic, and military characteristics of the Soviet Union and its satellites. This file includes the first 12 pages of the document.
