Associate: The Party History Research Center of the Central Committee of the CCP, Beijing
The Center, established in January 1980 and directed by the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, it is responsible for CCP history research and nationwide professional work in party history.
The main responsibilities of the Center are to study CCP history and summarize the party's historical experiences to provide historical reference for party building, central policy decision-making, reform and opening, and construction of socialist modernization. The Center collects, analyzes and compiles important party historical materials, oral histories and memoirs; promotes the achievements of party history research to advise party cadres and masses.
The Center's First Research Department is responsible for research on the period of 1919-1949, the Second Research Department for the period of 1949-1978, and the Third Research Department for the period from 1978 to the present. There is also a Center for Political Party Research as well as an Office for the Collection of Party History Materials.
