Document Reader for the International Workshop on "Mongolia and the Cold War"

19-20 March 2004, Ulaanbaatar

The following documents have been obtained by the Parallel History Project (PHP) from PHP associates Bernd Schaefer from former East German archives, Oldřich Tůma from former Czechoslovak archives, Vojtech Mastny from Polish archives - in preparation for the international workshop on "Mongolia and the Cold War," hosted in Ulaanbaatar from 19-20 March 2004 by the Institute of International Studies of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences and Pax Mongolica, an organization closely linked with the Mongolian Cold War Study Group, the PHP's Mongolian associate. The workshop was co-sponsored by the George Washington University's Cold War Group (GWCW), the International Cold War History Project (CWIHP), the National Security Archive, the LSE Cold War Studies Centre, and the Parallel History Project.
