Description:
This declaration comprises some of the French objections and remarks related to the Study on the Future Tasks of the Alliance. The declaration addresses relations between East and West as well as the process of détente. According to the French view, the tension that still characterizes the international relations can be reduced further. The declaration also states the need to clarify what role NATO should play in the Mediterranean region.
