Address by Indian Foreign Secretary (Subimal Dutt) to the Chairman of the Supreme Soviet of Uzbekistan

Description: In his address given at the conclusion of a two-week tour of the Soviet Union, Subimal Dutt applies his favorable impressions of progress in Central Asia to development in India. Mentioning India's Five Year Plan, Dutt hopes for further Indo-Soviet collaboration and Soviet economic assistance, as well as continued diplomatic relations between the two countries. Attached to the speech is a note from Sir Walter Crocker, Australian High Commissioner in India, who writes positively of Dutt's observations as well as agreeing with Dutt's conclusion of the Soviet Union's importance economically.
