Letter from India's Budapest Embassy to the Ministry of External Affairs (24 July 1960)

Description: In this letter, India's Ambassador to Moscow, K.P.S. Menon, reports on a visit to Poland in July 1960, during which he discussed the German question and the Sino-Indian border conflict with Polish Foreign Minister Rapacki. Rapacki discusses Polish worries about the recent resurgence of nationalism in West Germany and alleged support by the Adenauer government for irredentist groups. Menon details the Indian position with respect to the conflict with China. He reaffirms Nehru's commitment to non-alignment in spite of Chinese policies.
