Description:
This document by the Turkish delegation to NATO comments on the paper on political aims of the alliance published by the rapporteurs of Sub-Group 1. It suggests that the word détente be avoided in public statements, as the East-West antagonism and hostilities have not yet diminished significantly. Instead, it recommends that NATO concentrate on consolidating peace and security and identify the main problems as well as methods for solving them. Collection: Harmel Report
