Partner: Machiavelli Center for Cold War Studies, Florence
The Center (Centro Interuniversitario Machiavelli per lo Studio dei Conflitti Strutturali della Guerra Fredda, CIMA) coordinates research of Italian historians on the Cold War and links their efforts to international programs for the study of the period.
Uniting departments of the Universities of Florence, Padua, Pavia, Perugia, Roma Tre, and Urbino, the Center is directed from the Dipartimento di Studi sullo Stato at the University of Florence, long established as Italy's leading institution for the study of international relations and a hub of a large network of international contacts. The Center publishes the review Storia delle Relazioni Internazionali, founded in 1985.
