Politico-Military Assessments of the Northern Flank, 1975-1989

On 20-21 August 2007 an oral history conference was held in Bodoe, Norway, on the Cold War in the European Northern Theater. The conference was organized by the PHP's Norwegian partner, the Institute for Defence Studies in Oslo, together with the Aviation Museum in Bodoe. Following-up on the PHP roundtable on military planning during the Cold War, held in Stockholm in 2006, the Bodoe conference brought together former military and civil leaders from the US, the UK, Russia, Sweden, Finland, and Norway.
