Romania and the Warsaw Pact, 1955-89
3-6 October 2002, Bucharest, Romania
This conference marked the first major opening of archival records on a variety of cold war -related subjects in the Romanian Foreign Ministry Archives, the National Archives of Romania (which house the communist party records), and the Romanian military archives. The Cold War International History Project (CWIHP) and its partners are planning to publish new documentation in forthcoming issues of the CWIHP Bulletin and website. The Conference is organized by General Mihail Ionescu, the PHP, and the CWIHP.
