Description:
This document records the conversation between the General Secretary of the RCP with the parting Indian ambassador K. Khilnani. The conversation covers recent developments in Chinese foreign relations and Sino-Indian relations. The Ambassador stresses Indian willingness to improve relations with Beijing and settle the border issue. Ceauşescu recommends direct negotiations without preconditions.
