Report by Hungarian Deputy Foreign Minister István Roska on the Meeting of the Deputy Foreign Ministers

12 Oct 1983
Description: This telegram from Hungarian Deputy Foreign Minister István Roska to the October 1983 meeting of the Warsaw Pact deputy foreign ministers in Sofia covers such issues as the communiqué published by the Sofia session of the Committee of Ministers of Foreign Affairs (CMFA) on issues of nuclear disarmament, the 38th session of the UN General Assembly, and the Soviet-US summit meeting. Roska reports that due to Romanian opposition regarding the text of the communiqué, the Soviet and Romanian sides continue to hold bilateral consultations to solve the problem.
