Opinion of East Germany

Description: This is a East German statement on military training and exercises in NATO's armed forces in general, and in the West German army in particular. It was presented at the 18th session of the WP's Committee of Ministers of Defense (CMD) in East Berlin in 1985. It states that offensive operations are a special feature of those Western operations. The wartime strategy and doctrine of the West German army is briefly outlined.
