Stenographic Transcript of the Meeting of the Politburo of the CC of the Romanian Workers' Party

Subject: Declaration of the CC of the Chinese Communist Party and the a declaration of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union that refers to the Chinese declaration, published in newspaper Pravda
4 Jul 1963
Description: This stenographic transcript addresses a declaration of the Central Committee (CC) of the Chinese Communist Party and the subsequent response of the CC of the CPSU, published in the Pravda newspaper. The question discussed is whether to make both declarations public, the main concern being that the world press and the broadcast stations will spread this information, which might be detrimental to the image of the Socialist camp. Since Romania disagrees partly with both the Soviet and the Chinese positions, the decision adopted at the meeting is to publish a short communiqué on the Chinese and Soviet declarations.
