Communiqué

3 Dec 1984
Description: This is a communiqué of the 1984 meeting of the Warsaw Pact's Committee of Ministers of Foreign Affairs (CMFA) in Berlin. The foreign ministers concentrate on questions of European security and the international political situation. They condemn US militarism and the deployment of intermediate-range nuclear weapons in Europe and justify the counter-deployment of weapons in Central Europe. However, they also call for an end of the arms race and for further disarmament.
