24 May 1967
Description: This report gives an account of the activities of Sub-Group 2 in April and May 1967. It explains that the group examined inter-allied relations with a focus on: i) the ideological basis and unity of the alliance, ii) possibilities for European cooperation and strengthening intra-allied relations, and iii) the consequences of European unification. The report concludes that the group supports the continuation of the alliance. It further requests an analysis of how the alliance is able to contribute to international stability and peace as well as to the transatlantic relationship.
