Description: This report by the Dutch permanent representative to NATO, C. L. Patijn, addresses various issues pertaining to NATO's role in world affairs. Among the political events directly affecting the security of the alliance, Patijn mentions nuclear developments that could affect the world nuclear balance and relations with China.
