This document is a transcript of a speech given by the first secretary of the Polish Polish United Workers' Party, Edward Gierek, at the January 1972 meeting of the Political Consultative Committee. Gierek addresses the discussions at the 25th COMECON meeting, Maoism and US-Chinese relations, and the organization of a pan-European security conference.
