Description: This is a summary of a report on the work of the staff of the Warsaw Pact (WP) United Armed Forces (UAF) from 1969 to 1975 and on the fulfillment of decisions on the transport system. Sergei Shtemenko, the chief of staff of the UAF, delivered this report to the eighth session of the WP Committee of Defense Ministers in Prague in 1975. He summarizes the staff officers' work on military planning, exercises, and research. The WP transportation capabilities are assessed positively, based on several improvements.
