Speech by the Romanian Foreign Minister (llie Vaduva)

Description: This is the transcript of a speech given by Romanian Foreign Minister llie Vaduva at the 1986 meeting of the Warsaw Pact's Committee of Ministers of Foreign Affairs (CMFA) in Warsaw. He agrees with Soviet plans on disarmament, but also presents further measures. Among other things, he proposes a 50 percent reduction of armed forces, conventional weapons, and military budgets, and the incremental dissolution of the Warsaw Pact by the year 2000.
