Description:
This summary presents the main results of a Warsaw Pact (WP) Political Consultative Committee (PCC) meeting on questions such as the balancing of the production plans of their respective defense sectors and mutual armament supplies. The PCC foresees the necessity to equip WP armies with reactive weapons and guided missiles to extend their fighting capability, and the need for further and real specialization of defense industries as well as the development of common and coordinated plans for the production, balance, and mutual exchange of armaments. COMECON is to take a coordinating role.
