Analysis of the State of NATO's Infrastructure and Necessity of Improving WP Operational Preparation (Summary)

Description: This is the summary of a report by the chief of staff of the Warsaw Pact's (WP) Unified Command, Anatoli Gribkov, on the infrastructural preparation of the theaters of war by NATO and the WP. The report is given at the 13th session of the WP Committee of Defense Ministers (CDM) in Bucharest in 1980. The first part reviews NATO's preparations and assesses a high level of readiness. The second part discusses the WP's situation and detects several problems, including the implementation of CDM decisions and the planned build-up of stocks.
