Memorandum of the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Petar Mladenov) to the Politburo of the CC of the BCP

Subject: The necessity of reassessing the foundations of the secret nature of data on military spending and the defense budget of PR Bulgaria

Description: In this memorandum to the Politburo of the Bulgarian Communist Party, Bulgarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Petar Mladenov addresses the issue of following Moscow's example by publishing data on the defense and security budgets. He proposes joint action by the ministries of the interior and of the economy and planning to work out new approaches for the defense budget and military spending.
