Description: This stenographic transcript of a meeting of the Central Committee of the Romanian Communist Party (RCP) refers to the visit of First Secretary of the RCP Nicolae Ceauşescu to Czechoslovakia in August 1968. The main purpose of this visit is to express support for Czechoslovakia and to ensure economic collaboration. Ceauşescu refers to the popularity of Czechoslovak leader Alexander Dubček as well as to the fact that the Czechoslovak population backs the reform course taken by its government.
