This is a report on the state and development of NATO's forces to the southwest of the Warsaw Pact, delivered by the deputy chief of the Bulgarian General Staff, S. Zikulov. He gave his report at the ninth session of the Warsaw Pact Committee of Defense Ministers (CDM) in Sofia in 1976. The report focuses on NATO forces in Italy, Greece, and Turkey.
