Adversary's Intelligence on Soviet Potential of Long-Range INF

Description: This document presents NATO intelligence on the military potential of Soviet intermediate nuclear forces' SS-20 missiles. It was prepared by the East German Staatssicherheit (Stasi) intelligence agency. NATO assumes that the SS-20 is a major component of the Soviet nuclear forces. The document examines technical and military details, possible conversions and start scenarios, and different options for relocation. Much attention is paid to a possible camouflage of the SS-20. The annex contains technical and organizational details and information regarding deployment bases.
