Decision "B" No. 17 of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Bulgarian Communist Party

Description: With this decision, the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Bulgarian Communist Party aims to organize a military-political and operational-tactical exercise (codenamed "Rodina-88") to prepare the country and the armed forces for transition from peacetime to wartime, and to offer political, ideological, and economic support in the course of war and help restore the fighting capability of the armed forces as well as the state's viabilty following an enemy strike with weapons of mass destruction.
