Report by the Chairman of the Council of State of East Germany (Willi Stoph) on the Results of the PCC Meeting

Description: This report by the chairman of the East German council of state, Willi Stoph, assesses positively the results of the 1983 Political Consultative Committee (PCC) meeting in Prague. He concentrates on the proposal that the Warsaw Pact and NATO sign a treaty on the mutual renunciation of military violence. Stoph emphasizes the efforts of the Warsaw Pact states to continue the policy of détente with NATO.
