Description: This is a transcript of a speech given by the First Secretary of the CC of the CPSU Leonid I. Brezhnev at the 1974 Political Consultative Committee (PCC) meeting in Warsaw. He gives an overview of the international situation with the regard to the spread of Socialism, political relations with West Germany and the situation in West Berlin. Additionally, he assesses the cooperation possibilities within the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe (CSCE) and for détente. He also summarizes the Soviet proposals for the upcoming US-USSR summit.
