Description: These are the minutes of the Hungarian Socialist Workers' Party's Politburo meeting of 8 December 1970. Topics discussed include the agreement on European security reached by the Warsaw Pact countries at the Political Consultative Committee (PCC) meeting of 2 December. The Hungarian Politburo also refers to issues such as: (i) the anti-Communist stance of West Germany and Hungarian counter-propaganda measures, (ii) relations between East and West Germany and their effects on the Hungarian economy, and (iii) the differences of opinion within the East German party leadership.
