Description: This report by Bulgarian army general Dobri Djurov and the minister of national defense, Mitko Mitkov, outlines the conclusions and proposals ensuing from the report of Soviet army general Ligachev concerning the perestroika of political work in Soviet Armed Forces and the intensifying of cooperation among the Warsaw Pact member states. The report offers concrete proposals on the following: (i) establishing a coordinating body as part of the Allied Armed Forces Command and a collective information organ to coordinate the political and educational activities of Warsaw Pact armies, (ii) developing scientific studies in the field of social sciences, and (iii) creating modern technical means for propaganda and international activities of Socialist cultural institutions.
