This document is a transcript of a speech given by the head of the Czechoslovak delegation at the 1972 Political Consultative Committee meeting. The Czechoslovak representative discusses the 24th Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and its contribution to world peace as well as Czechoslovakia's economic and political relations with West Germany. The head of the Czechoslovak delegation argues that Bonn should renounce the 1938 Munich treaty. West Germany insists that the Munich treaty be treated as a temporary document, whereas Prague interprets the West German position as an attempt to legitimize the German seizure of Czechoslovak territories.
