Description:
Following the visit of an Indian delegation to Bucharest, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) addresses the party leadership of Romanian Communist Party in order to ask for Romanian mediation in their relations with Communist Party of China. The letter recounts the history of the split in the Indian Communist movement and the emergence of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). Referring to Beijing’s propaganda attacks on the CPI (M) as being revisionist and Chinese support of the Naxalbari uprisings, the leadership of the CPI (M) describes recent strains in their relationship to its former patron.
