Mongolian Request for Admission to the Warsaw Pact

Description: In this letter addressed to the Polish second prime minister, Józef Cyrankiewicz, the prime minister of the Mongolian People's Republic, Yumjaagin Tsedenbal, proposes the admission of Mongolia to the Warsaw Pact. The chairman cites the need for greater defense in the Far East, specifically regarding Japan, and asks that Poland share this request for accession with other members of the Warsaw Pact.
