Measures Honoring the 30th Anniversary of the Warsaw Pact (Summary)

3 Dec 1984
Description: This is the summary of a report on the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Warsaw Pact (WP). The Supreme Commander of the United Armed Forces (UAF), Viktor Kulikov, gave this presentation at the 17th session of the WP's Committee of Ministers of Defense in Budapest in 1984. Kulikov emphasizes the importance of economic and military cooperation between the WP member countries and concludes that given the security threat posed by NATO, the combat-readiness of the UAF must be enhanced further.
