According to this report, the only item on the agenda of the Sofia meeting of deputy foreign ministers in January 1970 was the exchange of information and opinions related to preparations for the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe (CSCE). The report concludes that while the exchange has been useful, the deputy foreign ministers failed to summarize the concrete tasks ahead of them, most notably concerning the preparations for the meeting of foreign ministers.
