Description: These are the minutes of the 18th session of the Warsaw Pact's (WP) Committee of Ministers of Defense (CMD) in East Berlin in 1985. The document lists the participants, questions discussed, and decisions taken. Among the most important topics are the fulfillment of plans for the WP's United Armed Forces (UAF) in the period from 1981-1985 and further planning until 1990, the state of the rear and supporting echelons of the UAF, and NATO's military training and exercises. It is assessed that the plans for the period from 1981-1985 have generally been implemented successfully. Attached to the main document is a press release on the meeting.
