Special Group: Some Initial Suggestions by the UK Ambassador to NATO (Bernard Burrows)

Description: This document by UK Ambassador to NATO Bernard Burrows includes his suggestions on the tasks and studies of the Future Tasks of the Alliance. He does not consider agreeing on specific tasks to be urgent, but recommends that initially, only some tasks should be identified. According to him, the three major tasks of the study are: i) the political and military conditions for progress towards European security and its management, ii) improvement of political consultation, and iii) improvement of contact with the public.
