Description:
This is the Romanian version of a draft resolution to be adopted at the extraordinary session of the Warsaw Pact Committee of Ministers of Defense (CMD) in East Berlin in 1983. The meeting took place on the eve of the stationing of US intermediate-range nuclear weapons in Western Europe. The decisions to be taken by the CMD deal with: i) the modernization of military equipment by the year 1985, ii) the improvement of the United Armed Forces' command-and-control system, and iii) measures to be taken in case of further deployment of nuclear weapons by NATO in Western Europe.
