Description:
This report refers to the December 1983 meeting of the Warsaw Pact deputy foreign ministers held in preparation for the conference on disarmament and confidence-building in Stockholm. The participants discussed the draft treaty on the mutual renunciation of force and of any first use of nuclear weapons, freezing the stockpile of existing nuclear weapons, and the establishment of nuclear-free zones.
