Speech by the Bulgarian Minister of Foreign Affairs (Petar Mladenov)

Description: This is a transcript of a speech by Bulgarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Petar Mladenov given at the 1973 meeting of the Warsaw Pact foreign ministers in Moscow. He comments on the 1972 USSR-US summit in Moscow, points out Chinese attempts to build up relations with the West, and holds that important efforts for peace have been made in Europe. However, he also outlines the different views of the East and West, for example on military aspects of security. At the end of his speech he urges more cooperation and unity of the socialist countries to face the advances for peace of the West.
