Description: This is a transcript of an interview with Czechoslovak General Oldřich Kvapil (b. 1918), who served with the Red Army's Czechoslovak division during World War Two. General Kvapil describes his relationship to high-level functionaries in the former Czechoslovak government and military. He states that the wartime use of nuclear weapons was considered in the mid-1950s, and that such weapons were deployed in Czechoslovakia. General Kvapil underlines the important role of disinformation during the Cold War.
