Note on Statement by Vladimir Semenov, 20 July 1965

Description: This note records a statement by Soviet Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Semenov on the presence of the Military Liaison Missions (MLM) in East Germany. Semenov expresses his concern about East Germany taking any initiative related to the MLM without prior Soviet consent. Such actions can create difficulties in the relations between the Soviet Union, East Germany, and the Western states.
