Importance and State of Automated Command-and-Control (Abstract)

Description: This summary presents the main points of a report on the state and importance of the Warsaw Pact's (WP) automated command-and-control systems, presented by the first deputy defense minister of Czechoslovakia, Karel Rusov, during the eighth session of the WP's Committee of Defense Ministers in Prague in 1975. Rusov discusses automated command-and-control and guided weapons, as well as the improvement of command-and-control capabilities in the Czechoslovak army. He calls for increased defense readiness on the part of the WP.
