East German Memorandum for a Meeting between Heinz Hoffmann (East German Minister of Defense) and Dmitry Ustinov (Soviet Minister of Defense) on Progress in the Field of Armaments and Equipment

Description: This is a memorandum for a meeting between East German Defense Minister Heinz Hoffmann and Soviet Defense Minister Dmitry Ustinov on ways of enhancing the defense readiness of the East German army as well as its cooperation with other Warsaw Pact (WP) armies. The meeting took place during the 17th session of the WP's Committee of Ministers of Defense in Budapest in 1984. The memorandum also contains remarks on coordination problems affecting the United Armed Forces, and offers suggestions for improvement.
