Improvement of the Organizational Structure of the United Armed Forces' Command-and-Control Structure (Presentation)

29 Nov 1977
Description: This summary presents the main theses of a report on the state and development of the Warsaw Pact United Armed Forces' (UAF) command-and-control structure. The report is given by the supreme commander of the UAF, Viktor Kulikov, at the tenth session of the WP Committee of Defense Ministers in Budapest in 1977. Kulikov says that the UAF's current command-and-control system is not adequate for peacetime use nor for times of war. Therefore, he proposes several changes with respect to staff and structures.
