Report on the Seventh Session of the CDM in Moscow

Description: This report by East German Defense Minister Heinz Hoffmann informs East German leader Erich Honecker about the seventh session of the Warsaw Pact Committee of Defense Ministers (CDM) in Moscow in 1975. The CDM delegates discussed the selection, education, and training of military personnel and staff. In a reception, the ministers were instructed about the domestic and foreign policy of the Soviet Union, including critical comments on its internal situation. Furthermore, Hoffmann met with Soviet Defense Minister Andrei Grechko to hear his advice on East German foreign policy.
