Description:
This is a report on the 1989 meeting of the Warsaw Pact's Committee of Ministers of Foreign Affairs (CMFA) in Warsaw. The Warsaw Pact foreign ministers agree that the détente process is developing positively. However, Czechoslovakia, Romania, and East Germany are worried about qualitative rearmament in Western countries. They all urge a conclusion of the Vienna negotiations on conventional disarmament by the year 1990. Collection: Foreign Ministers
