Description: This is a transcript of an interview with Czechoslovak General Vlastislav Raichl (b. 1920), commander of the Frontal Air Defense Command from 1961 to 1967. General Raichl comments on the technical level of the Czechoslovak armed forces' equipment, the Czechoslovak Operations Plan 1964, and operational planning. He also explains his role as the Czechoslovak representative in the emerging Unified Command (1967-1969) as well as his role in the group of Former NATO and Warsaw Pact Generals for Peace and against Nuclear War in the 1980s.
