Report by the First Secretary of the Hungarian Socialist Workers' Party (János Kádár) to the Hungarian Socialist Workers' Party Politburo on the PCC Meeting

Description: In this report to the Politburo of the Hungarian Socialist Workers' Party, First Secretary János Kádár outlines issues discussed at the Warsaw Pact's Political Consultative Committee (PCC) meeting of April 1974 such as: (i) the European security system, (ii) preparations for the 20th anniversary of the Warsaw Pact, and (iii) mechanisms of cooperation and consultation within the alliance. Kádár reports that the PCC delegates accepted a declaration on Indochina, a declaration on the Middle East, and a declaration on Chile. According to the Hungarian party leader, all parties present at the PCC expressed disagreement with China's foreign policy.
